Tournaments
Here is a List of all the Leagues and Cups that are played in our Society and some details about them, including Prize money. And Lastly is a breakdown of Series Play and how they are played. League Tournaments are usually when Teams play against the other Teams earning points for their Victories and Draws, making the Team with the most points the Champion. Cup Tournaments are when Teams play off against each other in a series of knock-out rounds leading to one last Team standing taking the Tournament.
No matter the type of Tournament, they are furthermore considered either Open, Closed or Restricted. In Open play the Teams in the Tournament are free to Play in other Tournaments (Open or Restricted) and Friendlies while still competing in the said Tournament. A Closed Competition the opposite is enforced, Teams cannot play any other Matches apart from the ones in their entered Tournament. And Restricted Tournaments are the same as Open ones, though they are limited in some way, for example, they may only be allowed to play Friendlies or 1 other Tournament Match in another Competition.
Cross Keys League (Closed)
League Commissioner: Robb Inman
In this League all the Teams play each other twice, playing every other Team once before playing each Team again. All games are played at the Cross Keys pub in Nafferton. Using the standard 3 points for a Win, 1 point for a Draw and 0 points for a Loss, the Team with the most points at the end of the League wins the Cup, and the Team with the next amount of points comes Second. Any Draws are played off in Post-League Matches, which is only essential for the top 2 positions. 1st Place wins 100,000 G.C. while 2nd Place wins 60,000 G.C.
Foresters League (Open)
League Commissioner: Robb Inman
This League is played at Foresters Cottage, hence the name. All the Teams play each other once using the standard points system like in the Cross Keys, and the two Teams with the most points at the end of the League play off in a Final to determine the League Champion. Any Draws are settled first by comparing the Teams Goal Difference, if still a Tie then the amount of Casualties caused during the League settles the matter. In the unlikely event of there still being a Tie, the Team that has increased the most in terms of Value is chosen. The Victor of the League claims 60,000 G.C. while second place claims 30,000 G.C.
Minor Leagues
Also known as Themed Leagues, these Leagues are Themed in that a concept is used, generally in which only certain Races or Teams can be entered. For example, in the Chaos League, only Races that are associated with Chaos can be entered by Players. Each Minor League is run differently and prizes can vary depending on who is Commissioner for the League.
List of Minor Leagues:
- Chaos League
- Elf League
- Stunty League
Series
Series are different from Leagues, as only 2 Coaches enter with a single Team each. Then the two play a series of Matches (Between 3-5 Matches, to be agreed by the Coaches) and the Team that wins the most Matches wins the Series. But instead of being a Grand Prize for the Victorious Team, 10,000 G.C. is awarded to whichever Team wins any of the Series Matches. House Rules are to be agreed between Coaches.
