Series Announcement! Yo'Rg Klopps Lizardpool VS Shadow Weavers

So it is official, the first ever Series has been announced today! In a Series of 5 Matches, coaches Mike Evans and Robb Inman have put forward brand new Teams to face off against each other. Mr Evans has recruited a Lizardman Team under the name of Yo'Rg Klopps Lizardpool while Mr Inman, famous for his Dwarven Team the Diggers in the Hood, has somewhat downgraded to a Team of Wood Elves called the Shadow Weavers!? So far all we know is that they have agreed to use the newly updated version of Rules for the game, we'll see what comes of that and that both Teams have agreed to fully kit their Teams out by the final Match. All other House Rules I imagine will be hashed out in the boardrooms and revealed on the day of the first Match, which has yet to be decided.

In an exclusive interview Mr Evans laid out his ambitions to "smash the knife-eared bastards into retirement" in the first game alone. A sentiment reinforced by the Lizardman Captain, who stated (From our best translation) "You'll soon hear the snapping of spines". When asked to comment Mr Inman simply replied "That'll be easier done then said, we're just here to have a fun and exciting Series", a surprisingly soft sentiment from the Coach of the successful Diggers, sounds like hippy horseshit to me, has he lost his fighting spirit? We shall soon find out!

Foresters League Final! 

Finally after months of waiting, the Final Match of the Foresters League has been scheduled! The friendly rivals: the Silver Tongued Devils and the Diggers in the Hood, are to complete their long awaited Match in the coming weeks. No two other Teams in our Society have played each other more often then these two have, adding to the excitement. The Devils have never managed to beat the Diggas, so this could be the opportunity to change the fortunes of the past and be the first Team ever to beat them??

To honour the occasion, this Match will also be the first ever were both Teams will be taking to the field in full regalia! Now that the Diggas have finally issued full kit to their entire Team. And if that wasn't special enough, with the Commission taking on the new Rule Regulations, this could possibly be the last Match played under the current Rules. But unfortunately, this also means that both the Silver Tongued Devils and the Diggers in the Hood will have to retire from the game! That's right, we will never see these Teams, in their current form, ever again! But surely both Coaches will want to continue the Legacy of their respective Teams and enlist new ones for the new generation?? We shall see.

So, not only is this the Final for the glorious Foresters League (months overdue), the two Teams are long standing rivals, playing in full kit for the first time, also making history by being the last Match played under the current Regs, and the last Match to be played by the two mostly highly rated Teams to date, truly a sad end to an era. All this making it a historical and special Match, will the Devils finally defeat their nemesis? Or will the Diggas retire claiming their second Title and remaining undefeated till the end? We can't wait to find out!

Diggas take the Foresters League!

So its official, the Diggers in the Hood have taken the Title! In a 1-nil victory, the Dwarves have claim their second League victory against their long time rivals the Silver Tongued Devils, and can add the Foresters League to their Title list along with the Cross Keys League. In a game where the first half saw the Diggas hold a familiar defence against the Devils who failed to score in their drive, to a second half which broke convention in tactics and play, to a dramatic second half, where the Dwarves managed to score with some difficulty and the Devils failed to equalise due to poor luck rather than poor skill. But despite an early advantage seeing the Diggas on the back foot (A rare sight indeed!) the human Catchers proving themselves unworthy under the pressure, letting the entire Team of Devils down. 

But with the end of the long awaited Foresters League comes the end of an era. As previously mentioned, this was the last game these Teams played under the old rule regulations, and this means they are both forced into retirement, meaning we will never see the like again for a very long time as the two teams of legend are etched into history. In the end, the rivalry followed tradition as the Diggas retire undefeated to the end and the Devils falling short, remaining the underdogs. But it will always be a Match to remember, to commemorate the end of the old, the Teams played in full kit and failed to disappoint in terms of effort and excitement. All that is left to say is all hail the glorious Diggers in the Hood!
